The plan was to take a nice walk in the woods before the rain started. As I sat in Merridee’s in Franklin talking with friends it started to rain. Normally I would have dropped the walk because of the rain but I decided I really needed to get out. So off I went with my friend Tim.  I was very surprised to see almost the whole lake frozen over.  It was a great walk with only a light drizzel most of the timne.  The rain also kept the crowds down which was a bonus.  No owls spotted on this walk but about a dozen deer and some squirrels.
